The SMC series Autochlor™LoSalt water chlorine generators (SWCG) have the unique capability of operating in Low Salinity Pools of 2500ppm of total dissolved solids. Traditional salt water pools need about a teaspoon of salt per litre of pool-water. New Autochlor™ LoSalt produces the same amount of chlorine as our traditional Autochlor™ generators but with half the salt requirement. So all you need is 2.5 grams of salt, or about half a teaspoon, per litre of water to provide the same healthcare protection you have come to expect from Autochlor™.
Mineral water pools have become increasingly popular as a ‘spa-like’ alternative to traditional salt water pools. Mineral pools: use various blends of chlorides - like magnesium and potassium - instead of or as well as traditional salt; are often less salty than traditional pools; have around 3.5 grams of salt per litre of pool water, instead of 5 grams. With Autochlor™ LoSalt mineral water pool owners can lower this salinity even further to 2.5 grams per litre of pool water!
Small and easy to install into limited space, the SMC LoSalt series are a highly adaptable water treatment solution suited for residential swimming pools. The Autochlor™LoSalt chlorinator eventually reduces the use of salt in the swimming pool by operating in water with 50% lower concentration of salt. Autochlor™ water disinfection systems are not limited solely to residential applications’ they are also widely used in commercial/industrial applications.
