Fastlane Swim Machine
Owner's Manual Planning Guide
The Fastlane produces a smooth, quiet, powerful current that's perfect for any pool. Set the water speed to the pace YOU want, and swim at home. It provides all the benefits of swimming -- cardiovascular fitness, muscle and joint strength, low-impact workouts -- in the privacy of your own garden. Fully adjustable for swimmers of all abilities, from beginners to Olympians, it's also perfect for aqua aerobics, hydrotherapy and water jogging/running.
The Fastlane turns your pool into a brand new playground for a summer full of fun. Grab an inflatable and float "downstream." The Fastlane makes kids enthusiastic swimmers while providing a safe and creative play environment.
Easy to install with no electrical connections poolside, the Fastlane fits virtually any pool. For fitness or fun, the Fastlane swimming machine adds a whole new dimension to your pool.
THE FASTLANE SYSTEM has two parts: a remotely located Hydraulic Power Unit that powers the swim current and the Swim Unit that mounts poolside. These components are connected by two hydraulic hoses designed to keep electricity far away from the water. The poolside Swim Unit includes a submerged hydraulic motor that turns our custom-designed 40.6cm propeller and an innovative channelling system that straightens and smooths the swim current.
The rugged 5 horsepower Power Unit is typically located with your other pool plant, keeping any electricity away from the pool. The remote Hydraulic Power Unit contains 19 litres of biodegradable vegetable- based hydraulic fluid that is pumped to the Swim Unit. By varying the flow of oil you change the speed of the propeller and thus the swim current.
The Fastlane can be installed in virtually any new or existing in-ground concrete, vinyl-lined or fibreglass pool, and in many aboveground pools as well. The Swim Unit can be placed in water as shallow as 89cm. Generally speaking, if the pool is deep enough for swimming, it's deep enough for a Fastlane. Learning to use your Fastlane takes only seconds. Turn the Fastlane on by pressing the On/Off button on your remote control. Faster and Slower buttons allow you to set the water speed at a comfortable level for your needs.
We offer two models appropriate for virtually any backyard pool:
- The Deck Mount Fastlane caters to those retrofitting an existing pool. The Fastlane hangs over the pool wall, held in place by a deck plate bolted to the pool deck. The hydraulic hoses run up and over the coping beneath the Deck Mount Cover.
- For new construction or major pool renovations, our Wall Mount Fastlane anchors directly to the pool wall at the waterline. All connections and hoses remain out of sight, beneath the pool deck.
A single 30-Amp, 240-Volt RCD circuit is required. |
